Save TikTok Video Without Watermark

Saving a video inside TikTok and saving it here produce two different files. This page is about choosing between them.

Where the saved file goes

The app's Save video button is one tap, keeps the post in your camera roll and gives you a copy with the creator's handle and the TikTok logo moving across the frame. It also depends on the creator leaving saving switched on, and it saves nothing useful for a photo post. Pasting the link here gives the rendition TikTok stores, without that overlay, with no account step, and it covers photo posts by handing over each slide as its own image. The trade-off is where the file lands: the app writes to your camera roll, while here your browser writes to its download folder, which on an iPhone means one more tap in Files before Photos lists it.

Saving from inside the TikTok app writes a copy with the moving username overlay burned in, and on plenty of posts the in-app save option is switched off by the uploader. Pasting the link here returns the clean rendition instead. Savett hands the media to the download handler of your browser, so it lands wherever that browser puts downloads: Files or Photos on iOS after Safari asks, the Download folder on Android, the usual download folder on Windows, macOS and Linux.

The file name follows the post rather than a generic counter, which matters once a dozen clips are sitting in the same folder. On a desktop the browser writes it to the download folder and the file can be dragged straight into an editor. On a phone the download handler decides: iOS offers Files or Photos, Android writes to Download and the gallery picks it up on its next scan.

What you get

A real file, not a screen recording

The download is the stored media, so it keeps its own frame rate and audio track instead of whatever a screen capture would produce.

Video, photo and slideshow posts

Photo posts and multi-image slideshows come back image by image, so you keep the full stills rather than a rendering of the slideshow.

No install, 19 languages

The page runs in a normal mobile or desktop browser, including in-app browsers, and the interface is available in 19 locales.

No copy kept on our side

The media is fetched from TikTok for your request. One anonymous row is written per download for counting, with no IP address and no stored file.

Save a TikTok post to your device

  1. 1

    Copy the post link

Use the Share action in the app, or copy the address of the post in a browser.

  2. 2

    Paste and submit

The result card shows the post and the media Savett found for it.

  3. 3

    Choose where it lands

On iOS, Safari asks whether to keep the download in Files or in Photos. Android and desktop browsers write it to the download folder.

Limits worth knowing

What can be saved is limited to what TikTok publishes for a logged-out visitor, so private accounts, friends-only posts and removed posts return nothing. File size and resolution come from the original upload, because Savett does not re-encode. Saving a post does not transfer any rights in it: reposting is still up to the person who made it, and the TikTok terms of service still apply.

FAQ

Is the in-app save ever the better option?

For a quick personal copy where the overlay does not matter, it is fewer taps. If the file is going into an edit or onto another platform, the clean rendition is the one to have.

The Save video option is missing on a post. Why?

The creator turned saving off. Pasting the link here is not a way around that setting, because a restricted post can come back with nothing to hand over.

Where does the file go on an iPhone?

Safari asks whether to keep the download in Files or in Photos and then writes it there. An in-app browser usually hands the file to the system download handler too, but Safari or Chrome is the more predictable route.

Can I save a photo or slideshow post?

Yes. Those posts return their images as separate files, so you keep the stills at the size TikTok serves them rather than a video of the slideshow.

Does saving a post notify the uploader?

No. Savett makes a public request for the post, the same kind a logged-out browser makes, and does not sign in as you, so nothing is attributed to your account.

Is there a cap on single downloads?

Single downloads from the form are not metered per account, though automated flooding is rate limited. Downloading a whole profile is a separate tool with its own daily cap.

Can I save several posts at once?

Not from this form, which handles one link at a time. The bulk tool queues the 50 most recent posts of a single public profile instead, with a daily cap on how many of those jobs can be started.
