TikTok Converter — MP4 and MP3, No Watermark

Nothing you submit is stored here. The file streams through the server to your browser and no copy is kept at either end of that.

Why no conversion happens

Converter sites usually hold a file long enough to work on it, which means a queue, a temporary URL and a retention policy to read. Savett has none of that for downloads: the post is resolved, the media is streamed through, and the request is finished. One anonymous row is written per download, holding the post link, its title and its author so totals can be counted, with no IP address and no user ID attached. Single-link tools ask for no account, so there is nothing to connect that row to. The one exception is deliberate: a live recording is a server-side job, so its file does sit on the server until you collect it, and it expires about an hour after the job completes.

Nothing is transcoded here. The form resolves the post, reads the media URL TikTok publishes and returns the MP4 without the overlay watermark. H.264 video with AAC audio in an MP4 container is the pairing every current phone, desktop, browser and editor opens, which is why no conversion step is needed either to play the clip or to drop it on a timeline. The format pages under /convert explain what each container is for, and audio-only output lives on its own tool because a separate audio file exists only when TikTok publishes a music URL for the post.

Container and codec are separate things, and most confusion about converting TikTok posts comes from mixing them up. MP4 is the container; H.264 is the video codec inside it and AAC is the audio codec. Rewrapping moves those streams into a different container without touching them, which is quick and lossless. Converting re-encodes the streams themselves, which costs time and quality. Savett does neither: it hands over the file TikTok stores.

What you get

Pass-through, not conversion

The MP4 you receive is the stored file, so no re-encode is applied and no settings have to be guessed on your behalf.

Plays without a codec pack

H.264 in MP4 is decoded by iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and every current browser without installing anything.

Ready for an editor

Timeline editors open this container directly, so a saved clip does not need a preparation pass before it can be cut.

Audio stays with the video

The audio track is muxed into the same file, so the clip is not split into pieces you have to line up again.

Get the MP4 of a post

  1. 1

    Copy the post link

A share link or the full post URL both work.

  2. 2

    Submit it in the form

Savett resolves the post and lists the media TikTok exposes for it.

  3. 3

    Download and open it

The saved file plays in the system player and imports into an editor as it is.

What is not offered

Savett does not output AVI, MOV, MKV or other containers and does not change codec, bitrate or resolution. When a different container is genuinely required, a local tool such as ffmpeg can rewrap the MP4 without re-encoding it. Audio-only output is handled by the MP3 tool and depends on TikTok exposing a music URL for that post.

FAQ

Is the video kept on the server after my download?

No. The file is streamed through rather than saved. Only live recordings are written to disk, and those expire about an hour after the job finishes.

What is in the row you keep?

The post link, its title and its author. No IP address, no user ID and no copy of the media.

Is the download already an MP4?

Yes. TikTok stores the post as an H.264 MP4 and that is the file handed over, so the conversion wording around this topic describes a step that is not needed.

Does converting reduce quality?

There is no conversion, so nothing is lost beyond the encode TikTok already applied. A tool that re-encodes would add a second lossy pass on top of it.

Can I get MOV or AVI instead?

Not from Savett. The MP4 can be rewrapped locally with ffmpeg into another container without touching the video stream if some older software needs it.

How do I get only the audio?

Use the MP3 tool. It returns the music file when TikTok publishes one for the post; when it does not, the video is the only source of that sound.

Will the MP4 work in my editor?

H.264 in MP4 is the format timeline editors import by default, so the file can be dropped on a timeline as it is. Older software that predates the format may need a local rewrap first.
